Mission
The Michael Moran Scholar Award is an annual award given to a pediatric resident or fellow training in the field of pediatric urgent care (MD/DO, NP, PA) with the goal of enhancing clinical research in pediatric urgent care. The scholarship will provide travel expenses and conference fee for the fall SPUC CME conference of the submission year.
Dr. Mike Moran was a founding member of Society for Pediatric Urgent Care. Throughout his career, he was dedicated to continued improvement of pediatric health care. He was a phenomenal educator who took every opportunity to guide colleagues and trainees in patient care. He embraced evidence-based practice and often catalyzed new innovations to improve quality and efficiency of patient care in the pediatric acute care setting.
Eligibility
There will be a dedicated call for abstracts for the Michael Moran Scholar Award in fall 2020. The scholarly product must be within the field of pediatric urgent care.
Eligible applicants include pediatric residents or fellows in training in pediatric urgent care.
Abstract submission must be completed by the posted deadline and follow abstract guidelines.
Selection Process
Recipient of the award is chosen by the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care Awards Committee.

We hope you will consider making a donation to the Michael Moran Scholar fund. SPUC members will also have an opportunity to make regular contributions when they renew their annual membership dues.
We urge all SPUC members to make a one-time gift to the Michael Moran Scholar Award. We have pledges from 100% of current officers and board members to do so. We ask everybody to be as generous as possible and urge long standing members to consider using the following formula to guide their minimum donation.
SPUC will provide an acknowledgement letter to each donor for tax purposes. SPUC is a 501(c)6 organization. contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions under IRC 170.
