Host a Pediatric Urgent Care Webinar

Webinar session types include: Journal Club, Case Conference, Evidence-Based Guideline Review, Pediatric Urgent Care Grand Rounds, or Quality Improvement. 

Session Types Description
Journal Club This is a review of one or more articles relevant to pediatric urgent care practice. Articles will be evaluated for methods and generalization to pediatric urgent care. A brief section on possible practice change should also be included for each article.  Journals included in this screening include JAMA, NEJM, PEDS, JAMA PEDS,  ACADEMIC PED, and Journal of PEM.
Case Conference This is a review of 1-3 patient cases seen in pediatric urgent care. Each case should include a brief didactic discussion including any relevant evidence-based management recommendations. The presenter should also consider addressing the following variables: 1) patient safety 2) system safety 3) system efficiency 4) potential for quality improvement intervention.
Evidence-Based Guideline Review This is a review of a specific evidence-based guideline implemented in an urgent care or ER setting. The presenter should consider discussion of the following: relevance and application potential, understanding meaningful practice variation, key performance indicators, measurable outcomes, and change management strategies.
Pediatric Urgent Care Grand Rounds This is a presentation by content experts (pediatric urgent care providers and/or pediatric subspecialists) on topics relevant to pediatric urgent care. Topics can range from patient care, healthcare research, medical education, and public health to innovation.
Quality Improvement This is a review of a quality improvement intervention implemented in a pediatric urgent care or ER setting. Speaker should review:
1) What were the global and specific aims of project?
2) What changes were made?
3) What metrics were measured?
4) What Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles were performed?
5) What conclusions were drawn and what (if any) future interventions are being considered?
