Pediatric Urgent Care QI and MOC Opportunity!

The Society of Pediatric Urgent Care (SPUC) announces the opportunity to participate in a MOC Part IV credit Quality Improvement Project around Antibiotic Stewardship

The Society for Pediatric Urgent Care recognizes the need for a tailored antibiotic stewardship program to account for the unique challenges in the fast-paced acute care setting. This project will be done as a collaboration with SPUC and The Antibiotic Resistance Action Center (ARAC) out of George Washington University and will include technical experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Office of Antibiotic Stewardship. This project will provide your pediatric urgent care center with a playbook for organizing a quality improvement project on the appropriate use of antibiotics. This includes access to a menu of interventions and providing the platform for data entry, analysis of the data, and site performance benchmarked against the entire cohort over a one year time period. You will be supported by the study team with monthly conference webinars. Children’s Mercy Kansas City’s IRB has deemed this non-human subjects research and is the sponsoring institution providing 25 MOC Part IV ABP credits.
