Short Biography

I’m originally from San Diego, CA, and have moved for each stage of my medical training. I originally wanted to pursue a research career and worked at the NIH after college. Ultimately stayed in Washington DC for my master’s program and medical school at Georgetown University, did pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado, then came to Emory for Pediatric GI fellowship and graduated in July of this year. I am interested in motility disorders and outcomes of children with Disorders of Gut-Brain interaction. In the urgent care setting specifically, patients with functional complaints undergo extensive testing, which is a research interest of mine- how to identify and reduce testing for these patients earlier. I am currently part-time in urgent care and part-time pursuing motility training under my mentor Dr. Jose Garza at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
